Wii Golf

For all indoor golfers everywhere, playing Wii Golf could be your salvation. Okay, it's not the same as feeling the wind in your hair and getting soaked when the heavens open up, but it can be just as much fun but a real challenge as well. You have to get your swing speed right, consider the power and the windspeed/direction. The game is centred very much on balance and control and it is no good just whacking the ball and hoping for the best. You really need to apply some tactical thinking into the process. I tend to get it wrong most of the time! It has been suggested that if you are already a player in the real world, that playing Wii Golf will help you to improve your real life game. If you play the game properly, you will certainly feel you have played the round, just without the walking experience.

At the end of the day, just like mastering any sport, it is down to practise, So far, the only cheat (if you really feel you must), that I have been able to locate for Wii Golf is in that you can play without the power meter, maps or windspeed indicator. All you need to do is press and hold the (2) button, then make a selection at the "Select a Course" screen.

As good as Wii Golf and other games are though, I can't help thinking that so many users are restricting the use of their machines. The Wii has the capablity of becoming a real entertainment system providing music, movies, and tv shows as well as playing golf. If you have access to the internet, it opens up a whole new world foryour Wii.
